I really had a good old chuckle when Barak Obama read out his acceptance speech to a crowd of thousands on hearing that he was going to become President. Not that I found his speech amusing, but because I then watched New Zealand’s own John Key perform his speech on hearing that he was going to become Prime Minister of New Zealand to a crowd of about 10.
I don’t really get into politics but I’ve always found John Key entertaining in a similar way to how you would find your dad amusing at a party when he gets drunk and tries to dance on a table to impress your friends.
You can just imagine ex-Prime Minister Helen Clark laughing each time he does something new, just before she heads off to collect her big fat UN pay cheque.
The latest John-Key-ism is perhaps the best of them all. 3News just reported on John Key’s appearance on a cat walk to promote the new Rugby World Cup 2011 volunteers’ outfit.
Go John, Go John, It’s your birthday, Go John
Honestly, John. When a reporter or a radio presenter asks you to do something, you have the option to say no!
And what is he saying as he gets to the climax of his walk? Passion? Fashion? Any ideas?
